Ashleigh is a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic member of film, television and online media communities based in Brisbane, Queensland.
She has been trained in a variety of different editing software, as well as those in graphic design, compositing and colour grading. She will throw herself into any project that interests her and will strive to exceed the expectations of her clients and colleagues.
Ashleigh graduated from her Bachelor’s degree in Film and Screen Media at Griffith University in 2009. During that time she was mentored by some of the most talented people in the industry, including Bob Blasdall of THEpostWORKS as part of an industry placement program.
After strengthening her skills with short films, documentaries, music videos and more – Ashleigh headed into the world of online media. She began producing and editing corporate and online eLearning programs at the award winning Beyondedge as their Video and Motion Graphics Producer. Here she lead the production team and created video-based and interactive learning programs for such clients as BHP Billiton, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and CSIRO.
In 2014, Ashleigh completed her Masters Degree in Screen Production, with a major in Post Production. As part of Griffith’s Masters program, Ashleigh was fortunate enough to work as Assistant Editor to Scott Walton on the feature film, ‘Bullets for the Dead’. This working relationship then led Scott and Ashleigh to work together again, this time as part of the editing team behind Animal Planet’s doco-wildlife series ‘Snake Boss’.
Ashleigh then joined the team at Smoke Creative where she developed a love for creating content that brought awareness to important issues such as getting women active in sport, support for drug addiction and cancer research.
Outside of work, Ashleigh is passionate about travel (some of her favourites trips include Japan, Scotland and a white Christmas in Lapland) and in her spare time volunteers for her local roller derby league and the RSPCA.
Currently, Ashleigh has taken a position within the editorial team at Chop Shop Post in West End, working on both long form and short form projects. To see some of the amazing work that Chop produces, head to their website.
